I'd like to share with you two articles from the Herald Sun. The first one is an exerpt from a to-be-published book How to prepare for kindergarten: a common sense guide to guiding your child and yourself ready for day one. The author, Laura Whitfield Watts, is a kindergarten teacher. She enjoys working with the 5 to 6 years old for their creativity. The article also talks briefly about Gardner's note on creativity development.
The 2nd article is a good one for teachers. Schools from all over the world are going through different stages of reform. Are school systems reforming for the sake of this global trend? Are the ever-changing curricula paying enough attention to nurturing the creativity of our next generation or merely helping to keep social order in future?
